Meaning of the symbol..

leaf - represent life nature
- green world
- peace

map - represent world

burning fire - consequent from the global warming
- make the world suffer

how do i make this symbol? for the leaf i just using pencil tool to draw the shape. and continue to draw burning fire. for the map inside the leaf, i just copy the map picture from the internet and i trace it using pencil tool also. and then i copy into the leaf. for the color, i play around with gradient to make the symbol look attractive and achieve the theme target.

I'm finish up my 50% illustrator. After some consultation wit Mdm Ling, she agreed with my burning leaf sketches and i just proceed with her suggestion and add some map to make it look interesting. Tomorrow i will present to her what I had done. I will edit the color or shape before submission next week.

global warming?

i haven't start my assignment 1 yet. i just only draw 5 sketches and show it to my tutor but she dissatisfied with that. uwaaa. myb i did not achieve her expectation. she ask me to have deeply thinking on how to interpret global warming to the symbol much better. very hard for me to do this coz i'm not the creative type people. but i try my best. now i already done with some new sketches and i will show to her for clarification. later after she agree, then i start draw using illustrator.

deadline for this assignment is on week 6. 2 weeks to go... aiyakk

2nd tutorial

Today is my 2nd tutorial and we learnt about Adobe Illustrator. It is very interesting software to explore. I was quite slow to pick up at first since this is my 1st time use this software, but i attempt to try. Mdm Ling also lent me her textbook for my reference and i really appreciate it. Hope i can catch fast using that book.
